Dark Matters: Cover Reveal and Pre-order Link

I’m thrilled to announce that Dark Matters, the 4th book in my Class 5 series, will be available from Oct 15th on Amazon, and elsewhere as a print book shortly thereafter.

DARK MATTERS . . . taking matters into her own hands

A time bomb, waiting to go off . . .

Lucy Harris is on the run, not sure where she can turn to for help, or if help is even available. But even as her abductors chase her down, she realizes they don’t just want to recapture her, they want to erase her.

When your very existence puts a planet at the risk of war, there’s no choice but to do everything in your power to stay out of your enemies hands.

A predator . . . waiting for the chance to pounce

The powerful AI battleship, Bane, is accompanying the United Council envoy to Tecra to mete out the punishment the Tecrans have earned for breaking UC law. He revels in the power he’s about to have over his old masters. But his mission isn’t only to rain down retribution on the people who kept him chained for years, he’s also looking for a human woman his fellow Class 5 thinking system mentioned in the final seconds of his life. Paxe admitted to taking Lucy Harris from Earth, and Bane has been looking for her ever since.

A warrior conflicted . . .

Commander Dray Helvan thinks the Grih made a mistake in not pushing for war with the Tecran, but he’s had to accept the compromise, that he and the other envoys from the United Council will go to Tecra and dismantle its military from the top down. His mission is not one of his choosing, but when he and his team arrive, he’s handed a very different job. While he distrusts Bane on principle, when the thinking system tells him there’s a woman running for her life on the planet below, he will do whatever he has to to see her safe. And if that means war for Tecra, well, then it means war.

Thanks, Luzhelena! The audio book is currently in production. I’ll definitely post about its availability when I have more information. I do know Christina Delaine will narrate Dark Matters, which is great.

I was stupidly happy this morning when I read email and I pre ordered it right away. I’m so looking forward to it. I’m hoping audio version will be out soon? I wish you the best publishing day ever.

OMG. I have been waiting for the continuation of this series for what seems like years. I can only access your books on audio, and yet — I’m so thrilled to have preordered it on Amazon anyway! This is the best and most beautifully written sci fi romance series I’ve ever read — and I have 4,000 audio books. Thank you, Michelle, for adding to the series, and please, please keep them coming. I hope you are also able to have the incredible Christina Delaine continue the narration of your books. She is by far one of the top 5 narrators I’ve ever heard, and I’d place her very, very close to the top of that list. Her gift is an ability to do so many different character voices while keeping them clear and memorable. She also does male voices particularly well, and that’s something many female narrators cannot do. Her performances make your books wonderful to listen to over and over again. Thank you!

AWESOME! Cannot wait to read it – will it come out on audio too? Adored her narration of the last books.

I pre-ordered when I received your email notice, and am reading Dark Matters now. Quick question : I really enjoyed your web page for The Music of the Class 5 Series, where you put together a song list for each of the first three books. Is there going to be a similar entry for Book 4?

Thanks so much for giving Bane and Lucy their book.

Thank you so much for the music page update to include Dark Matters. I love being able to hear the songs — and even the versions that you’ve posted. This particularly made a big difference to the way I imagined the sequence with the Grih exercise of the Flowing Way in Dark Horse.
