New York, New York

I am off to New York City in just over a month, where I’ll be attending the RWA National Conference, visiting my publisher, as well as helping out at and attending the RWA Women’s Fiction Chapter’s first mini-conference. You can check out the details of the mini-conference here. It is going to be an awesome day, and if you are interested in writing women’s fiction, and can get to New York City, don’t miss it!

Title Change

I’ve got really big news. My title has changed! My publishers came up with something they think will give readers a better idea of what the book is about, and the more I think about the new title, the more I agree, and the more I love it. So ILLUMINATIONS is now IN A TREACHEROUS COURT. The cover has already been changed, and I’ve uploaded the new one to the site.

First Annual Women’s Fiction Conference

I’m so looking forward to my trip to New York in June! One of the highlights is going to be the first annual Women’s Fiction Mini-conference, the day before the RWA National conference gets underway. I’m on the Women’s Fiction chapter board of directors, and can barely contain my excitement. I’ll be helping our VP-Programs, Maggie Marr, on the day, and can’t wait to meet fellow WF members and non-members alike. To see the full program, and be tempted to come along, you can click on the info on the RWA-WF website.

For starters, we have a two-hour presentation by the fantastic Michael Hauge, a panel of Women’s Fiction Editors and Agents, including Kristin Nelson of Nelson Literary Agency, Meg Ruley at Jane Rotrosen Agency, Andrea Cirillo at Jane Rotrosen Agency, and Shauna Summers Senior Editor at Random House.

If that wasn’t enough, we also have an author panel made up of Megan Crane, Jane Porter, Barbara O’Neal, Therese Walsh, and Marilyn Brant. And to top it off, we are finishing with internationally best-selling author Juliet Marillier.

I just can’t wait!
