The Entangled Anthology – A year on

A year ago, due to the hard work and dedication of friend and author, Edie Ramer, a very special anthology was published. ENTANGLED is a labor of love, with ten short stories and one novella, all following a paranormal Halloween theme, and the full profit from the sales of the anthology go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. I am one of the contributors, and am thrilled to report that the anthology has made $11,321.91 for the BCRF over the year it’s been up for sale.

To everyone who bought a copy of ENTANGLED, thank you for your contribution to this amazing cause. For more information, you can go here.

Advance Reading Copies of The Emperor’s Conspiracy are here!

I am so thrilled to say that a box of advance reading copies for The Emperor’s Conspiracy arrived today. Rather than the usual plain blue jacket, these are full color and look similar to how the finished book cover will look. So. Beautiful. πŸ™‚

I will have a few ARC giveaways in the next couple of weeks, so please look out for them. I already have a number of people in line for copies, and I’ll get those out on Monday.

Book sightings

I was so excited on my shopping rounds today to see copies of both In a Treacherous Court and Keeper of the King’s Secrets at the Karrinyup Big W in Perth, Western Australia, as well as copies of Keeper of the King’s Secrets in the Subiaco branch of Dymocks. I signed all the in-store copies in both places, and had a great chat to the staff in each location.

A friend also spotted copies of both In a Treacherous Court and Keeper of the King’s Secrets at the Ellenbrook Dymocks. For me to see my books on the shelves while I’m out and about is so wonderful, because previously they were only available in the USA, and now they’re in Australia, it’s such fun.

More good news is that In a Treacherous Court will be published in the UK in August, Keeper of the King’s Secrets in October and my upcoming November 2012 release, The Emperor’s Conspiracy, will be out in the UK in December. We have also sold the Czech rights to In a Treacherous Court, and I can’t wait to see the cover for it!

Sizzling Summer Reads

I’m thrilled to be part of Sizzling Summer Reads this July. If you go on over to TRR on July 9th there will be a Q&A which could win you a copy of Keeper of the King’s Secrets. There are over 400 authors participating throughout the month and over 400 prizes are up for grabs.

Temptation Bookstore Signing

On May 19th I was invited to spend the morning at Temptation Bookstore in the Crossways Shopping Centre in Subiaco, Perth, signing books with fellow Western Australian author, Shona Husk. We had a fantastic time, with a steady stream of readers, friends and fellow writers coming through to get their books signed. Having had the experience of a book signing in New York City, where there was a long queue and a real feeling of pressure to get the book signed and on to the next person, it was great to have a more steady pace, where Shona and I could chat to the people who came to the table and really connect with them. My thanks to Veronika and Christina at Temptation for an extremely well-managed event.

Cover reveal: The Emperor’s Conspiracy

I am so excited to share my latest cover, for the Regency-set historical novel The Emperor’s Conspiracy, which will be released on November 27th, 2012. The cover fairies (aka Lisa Litwack, head of the art department at Gallery Books) have once again been very, very generous. πŸ™‚

And a quick reminder to those living in or near Perth, Western Australia. I’ll be at Temptation Books in Subiaco on Saturday from 10.30am to 1pm, for an in-store signing, along with fellow West Australian author, Shona Husk. I’d love to see you there!

Book signing on 19th May

I’m so excited to be involved in my first Australian book signing. I’ll be signing, along with fellow Western Australian author Shona Husk, at Temptation Bookstore (Crossways Shopping Centre, 184 Rokeby Road, Subiaco, 6008 Western Australia) on Saturday May 19th, from 10.30am to 1pm. If you’re in the area, please stop by and say hello!
